ผลการดำเนินงานของกรมทรัพย์สินทางปัญญา ปี 2554
1.พัฒนาระบบคุ้มครองสิทธิในทรัพย์สินทางปัญญาทั้งในประเทศและต่างประเทศ และกำหนดมาตรการ ป้องปรามการละเมิดทรัพย์สินทางปัญญา
1.1 ความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศด้านทรัพย์สินทางปัญญา
1.1.1 การเข้าร่วมสัมมนาและประชุมด้านทรัพย์สินทางปัญญาระหว่างประเทศ การประชุมระดับภูมิภาคเอเชียแปซิฟิคร่วมกับผู้แทนประเทศกลุ่มเอเปค เรื่อง “ความร่วมมือด้านสิทธิบัตรใน ทศวรรษที่ 21 ในกลุ่มเอเชีย-แปซิฟิค” (Asia-Pacific Patent Cooperation in the 21st Century) ระหว่างวัน ที่ 6-8 มีนาคม พ.ศ. 2554 ณ กรุงวอชิงตัน สหรัฐอเมริกา เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์และความคิดเห็นใน การปรับปรุงระบบสิทธิบัตรระหว่างประเทศให้มีความสอดคล้องและประสิทธิภาพในการจดสิทธิบัตรระหว่าง ประเทศมากขึ้น
การประชุมคณะทำ งานความร่วมมือด้านทรัพย์สินทางปัญญาอาเซียน (ASEAN Working Group on Intellectual Property Cooperation: AWGIPC) ครั้งที่ 36 ระหว่างวันที่ 26-31 กรกฎาคม 2554 ณ เมืองบาหลี ประเทศ อินโดนีเซีย เพื่อร่วมจัดทำ แผนยุทธศาสตร์ความร่วมมือด้านทรัพย์สินทางปัญญาของอาเซียนในช่วง 5 ปีข้าง หน้า (พ.ศ.2554-2558) ซึ่งอธิบดีกรมทรัพย์สินทางปัญญาได้เข้ารับตำ แหน่งประธาน AWGIPC ต่อจากอธิบดี สำ นักงานทรัพย์สินทางปัญญาฟิลิปปินส์ วาระการดำ รงตำ แหน่ง 2 ปี
การประชุมและให้ข้อมูลความคืบหน้าการดำ เนินงานปกป้องทรัพย์สินทางปัญญาในประเทศไทยต่อคณะ กรรมการพิจารณามาตรการตอบโต้ทางการค้า ภายใต้กฎหมายการค้ามาตรา 301 ของสหรัฐฯ ในการทำ ประชาพิจารณ์ (Public Hearing) เมื่อวันที่ 2 มีนาคม 2554 ณ สำ นักงานคณะผู้แทนการค้าสหรัฐฯ (USTR) กรุงวอชิงตัน สหรัฐอเมริกา
การประชุมหารือและอบรมระบบการจดทะเบียนเครื่องหมายการค้าระหว่างประเทศตามพิธีสารมาดริด ระหว่างวันที่ 5-9 กันยายน 2554 ณ สำ นักงานทรัพย์สินทางปัญญาแห่งประเทศเกาหลีใต้ (Korea Intellectual Property Office : KIPO) กรุงแจดอน สาธารณรัฐเกาหลี เพื่อเรียนรู้ระบบการปฏิบัติงานเกี่ยวกับการจดทะเบียน เครื่องหมายการค้าระหว่างประเทศตามพิธีสารมาดริด (Madrid Protocol) ของประเทศที่เป็นภาคี โดยเฉพาะ ประเทศเกาหลีใต้เป็นประเทศที่มีความก้าวหน้าด้านเทคโนโลยีและการบริหารจัดการที่ดี
การประชุมกลุ่มผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านทรัพย์สินทางปัญญาของเอเปค (APEC-IPEG) ครั้งที่ 33 ระหว่างวันที่ 16 – 17 กันยายน 2554 ณ เมืองซานฟรานซิสโก ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา โดยที่ประชุมรับทราบการดำ เนินกิจกรรมด้าน ทรัพย์สินทางปัญญาของสมาชิก เช่น โครงการสัมมนาเพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์เรื่องการคุ้มครองภูมิปัญญา

Asia-Pacific Patent Cooperation in the 21st Century Conference. This conference was held between 6th – 8th March 2011 at Washington D.C., U.S.A. as a forum for sharing experience and views leading to the improvement of international patent systems to achieve harmonisation of patent law and efficiency in international patent registration
36th Meeting of the ASEAN Working Group on Intellectual Property Co-operation (AWGIPC), between 26th – 31st July 2011, held at Bali, Indonesia, for preparing the ASEAN IPR Action Plan 2011 – 2015. At this meeting, Director-General of the Department of Intellectual Property of Thailand succeeded presidency of the AWGIPC from Director-General of the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines and would assume this post for a term of 2 years.
Meeting with the United States Trade Representatives (USTR), which are empowered to employ trade measures under section 301 of the United States Trade Act, for providing information on action taken by Thailand in connection with the protection of intellectual property in Thailand and conduct a public hearing on this matter, on 2nd March 2011, at the Office of the United States Trade Representatives, Washington D.C.
Meeting and training on international registration of trademarks under the Madrid Protocol, between 5th – 9th September 2011, at Korea Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), Jaedong, South Korea. This event was aimed at learning working operations pertinent to international registration of trademarks under the Madrid Protocol of Korea which is a States Party to the Madrid Protocol and well noted for technological advancement and efficient administration of the Madrid system of international registration of marks
